1. Plump Lips
Women think they need to apply one, two, maybe even three coats of lipstick and lip gloss to achieve gorgeously plump lips. Save yourself the time and the hassle by doing what the pros do: simply apply a little bit of pencil liner similar to the shade of your lips along the outside of your lip line, then apply a generous amount of lip gloss for a plump, shimmery effect that stuns the crowd.
2. Smoky Eyes
Ah, those beautiful, sultry eyes. That seductive smoky color that pulls you in in a matter of seconds. You might think that sexy smoky eye style takes a lot of time and practice to achieve, but that couldn’t be any further from the truth. Start off by applying foundation across the eyelid as a base. Using a soft grey eye pencil, style a line above the eye and use a smudger to gently blend the color into a smudgy, smoky effect. Tie off the look with some dark mascara for a heavily seductive style.
3. Dark Red Lips
Everyone loves sexy red lips- and who would’ve thought that alluring pout can be accomplished in a matter of seconds. Start off by applying concealer on your lips. It might look a little funny, but trust me- it’s a very important step in creating dramatically red, luscious lips. Then, using a red lip pencil, draw a line right on the outside of the lip line (refer to tip number 1!). This next step will apply 2 shades of red lipstick, one darker and one lighter. Begin by applying the darker shade of lipstick across the length of your entire upper and lower lip. Use the lighter red lipstick as a highlighter by only using in the middle of your lips. The end result? GORGEOUS, vibrant, and shockingly red lips that kill.
4. Highlighting and Contouring
You’ve undoubtedly heard of the terms ‘highlighting’ and ‘contouring’ at one point or another in your lifetime. In the makeup industry, highlighting and contouring are essential to creating that perfect modelesque face. Using a light concealer or ‘highlighter’, apply around the eyes for a brighter, more natural and alert look. Use the darker shade of concealer, or ‘bronzer’, around the jaw and cheeks to create a slimming effect.
5. Mascara
Mascara is an essential piece to the puzzle when it comes to gorgeous eyes. But when it comes to mascara, you don’t want to settle for a cheap product that will leave your lashes flaky and skimpy. Always opt for a more expensive, high quality brand and apply at least two to three coats of mascara for dark, luscious lashes that extend for miles.
6. Eyeliner
Eyeliner is definitely an important part of creating beautifully big and alluring eyes. But you have to be extra careful when it comes to eyeliner. Too much eyeliner and you’ll end up looking like a creature out of the woods, while too little eyeliner won’t have the dramatic and sexy effect you’re looking for. So, when you’re applying eyeliner, start with the inside corner of your eye and extend outwards. Don’t go past the edge of your eye though- unless of course you’re going for the cat-eye look. On the bottom of your eye, apply eyeliner to the inside- NOT underneath your eye, as this can appear weird or doll-like. A lot of makeup artists for models suggest using a gel eyeliner first, then reapplying with liquid eyeliner for a full-proof style that is vibrant, fresh, and will last the entire length of the catwalk with ease!
7. Eyelash Curling
Okay, so we’ve talked a lot about eyes. The smokey eye look, using the right mascara, how to apply the eyeliner, etc etc. But we STILL aren’t done. Hey, the eyes are important! It’s what most people notice first about another human being, and they SHOULD stand out. When all is said and done and your eye makeup is looking spot on, finish off your style with a bit of eyelash curling. It really makes your eyes “pop” and will give you that bright, big, and glorious look you’re after.
8. Tinted Moisturizer
Even models struggle with dry skin every now and then. And even if you don’t, it’s probably a good idea to make sure your skin (especially on the face) is receiving adequate moisture so you can look vibrant and natural no matter what.
