The Simple Razor Cut Shag
@lib_george
If you have curls, don’t miss your chance to wear this trend! The simple razor cut shag on your blonde hair will bring out your natural texture. Style your strands with R Co salt spray and dry shampoo paste for a much-defined finish.
The Shaggy Feathered Cut
@colorme_steph
This layered cut has lots of movement for fullness around the hairline and a fringe to help hide a thinning/receding hairline. Having shaggy, dry cut layers around the fringe takes a simple layered cut up a notch allowing you to grow out to shift into something different as the hair trends come and go.
When dealing with finer hair types you need to keep their hair looking as thick and full as possible, but also have some texture to it so their hair doesn’t fall flat when styling at home. Achieve this with a combination of wet and dry cutting techniques, so you don’t over-layer the cut or lose too much length.
Modern Wavy Shag
@lefameuxsalon
Revamp your hair into a more stylish and younger-looking version of itself! A modern wavy shag on dark tresses leaves layers that are accentuated with streaks of magenta. Part your lengthy locks in the middle for a face-framing effect.
Q&A with style creator, Priscilla Audet
Hair Stylist @ Le Fameux Salon in Québec, QC
How would you describe this?
For this modern wavy shag, it’s important to keep a difference between the length of the base and the top of the head. Don’t connect those two parts to ensure your long hair will stand out. By cutting shorter on top of the hair, you will have volume.
Most of the time, the hair is separated in the middle. For the fringe, you can use a feather or scissors. This fringe technique has 3 parts, and you have to cut the center in the beginning and the side part after going long each side. Most of the time, we need to section the fringe at least 3 times (depending on the density) to have a precise cutting.
What’s your best advice?
To create this superstar look, you need to use heat protection products and volume products like mousse or spray. Also, get yourself a round brush. After that, use it to finish the look. Keep the brush in the hair while the hair is cooling down to make it look naturally curly.
You need to have a round brush at home and make the effort to blow dry your hair. This shaggy haircut can fit any older woman. If you need a more flattery look, you can side part your hair.
